Nala is quite calm in general and prefers to stay out of unnecessary fights. But that doesn't mean that she's meek in any way, she is fearless and she will claw her way through determination and guile to reach her goals. She works hard for what she has and she's proud of it. Although she might come across as tough and uncaring, she is still a pussycat at heart who enjoys the warmth and company of the people she cares about. She loves to spoil and be spoiled.

She can be a somewhat insightful person; being able to see through people's lies and lines. Nala prefers to be around like-minded individuals who are positive and authentic.

_Background

<sub>Nala was a member of a traveling circus together with her adoptive mother - a tarot-reading Gothitelle that went by the name "Mama". The two lived in a trailer given to them by the circus. It was both their home and their workplace as Mama often did her readings there. Mama wanted Nala to be her successor but alas she didn't exactly have the abilities Mama wished she had.

Mama home-schooled her and often forced her to sit through hours of learning about tarots and fortune-telling. On some days, Nala got so stressed that she escaped her trailer and hide. Her favorite hiding place was the knife thrower's trailer just because little Ilya was there-- the only one who was younger than her in the whole circus.

Nala and Ilya became very close as the two practically grew up together-- until one unfortunate night: Nala found out that her mother had been having a romantic relationship with Ilya's father, who had a family of his own. It seemed that this relationship had been going on for a while, the pair had been sneaking around at night to meet. The whole thing disgusted her and she felt so guilty toward Ilya that she slowly drifted away from him. 

When the zombies attacked the circus, Nala and her mother managed to escape from the mess. Though Mama was badly hurt, she insisted on traveling westward. She kept saying that the both of them would find home and shelter there. Mama didn't survive the journey though... and only Nala knew why.</sub>

<sub>- She has a soft spot for Ilya, thinking of him as her precious little baby brother. She is also very protective over him. Though this means that she will get jealous of people who are able to get close to him.
- The orb at the tip of Nala's tail can give off so much light and it has so many uses, from using it as a communication signal, a beacon for lost people, or to blind others in close proximity.
- Her hair stores electricity, rubbing together and building a static charge. Its volume increases when it builds up with electricity and touching it when it is charged will result in a static shock. It also stores air which allows her to stay cool during the summer and warm during winter.
- Nala takes very good care of herself. She always smells like soap.
- Nala makes most of her clothes since there's no way she could shop for nice clothes in the apocalypse. She's an amazing seamstress and she's also great with handicrafts.
